Post 2: Nutshell Series: BMC Control-M Batch Impact Manager

會員評等:  / 0

In my previous post, I provided an overview on BMC Control-M Workload Automation, and in this post I will touch on Batch Impact Manager. The Batch Impact Manager add-on create a service job within a job flow and are able to generate alerts when a job flow does not complete on time. It also utilizes statistical information to determine a critical path and also predict when the jobs in the critical path will complete.

It also has problem analysis features that can show estimated run times for jobs, details about statistics and also any constraints that restrict the jobs from running earlier. The most useful feature in my opinion is the Service Monitor that shows how much Slack Time (difference between the time a service is due and the Batch Impact Manager estimate of when it should complete) you have for the job.
